Anticipating Good Times
Owner Rob Crabtree was pretty chuffed when the phone call reported that Timeless Winds produced not only his first foal for the year, but the first Magnus for the year here at Yallambee Stud - and what a ripper she is too.
Timeless Winds is a bit of a favourite around the farm. A classic style of mare herself, it is not surprising to see her continually throw good types… and they can run.
A duel listed winner, a Group 2 third (STC Queen Of the Turf) and Group 1 fourth (STC Coolmore Classic) Timeless Winds to date has had 8 foals to race for 7 winners. Amassing $510,000 in prize money winning two group 3 races (AJC The Shorts & MRC Rubiton S) a Group 2, Group 3 and Listed seconds and placed 3rd in another four black type races, Dance The Waves is the most impressive of her progeny. Timeless Winds has proven to be a successful commercial mare with yearling receipts up to $400,000, $300,000 etc.
Since commencing his stud career as a sire, it is comforting to know that the breeder and major shareholder of Magnus has been supporting him with mares such as Timeless Winds. Owning an extremely high quality and extensive broodmare band Rob has continually sent a large proportion of his mares to Magnus. As a stud we have had the benefit of seeing these foals pass through our gates, and there is no doubt that Magnus is an exciting stallion prospect. Magnus has it all – an outstanding racing career, an incredible female family that is riddled with racehorses of great significance including being the half brother to Helsinge, dam of Black Caviar , he is very fertile and he leaves impressive looking foals of great character and substance.
From the onset Yallambee Stud is very excited about being involved with Magnus as a stallion proposition and it is with great anticipation we await for the first of his progeny to step out onto the race track this Spring.
Magnus is very reasonably priced at $22,000 (incl. GST) To see further information on Magnus follow link http://www.yallambeestud.com/stallions.html or direct your enquiry to Peter on 0408 343 142
