Recognising Sponsors and Recipients: Victorian Owners & Breeders awards night

The recent Victorian Owners and Breeders Awards Night saw awards sponsored and received by close friends of the farm and immediate neighbours.

Any award that involved Black Caviar’s name naturally saw connections as recipients of that honour:
Leading Breeder: Rick Jamison’s Gilgai Farm, breeders of Black Caviar.
Leading Metropolitan winners: Racing syndicate of Black Caviar

The designer behind Yallambee Stud’s superb web site you are currently visiting, Stu-art Graphics  www.stu-art.com.au put their hand up for the sponsorship of Broodmare of the Year Award. There was never any doubt about this one: Helsinge, dam of Black Caviar.

Neighbours Eliza Park secured two very significant Awards:
Bel Esprit for the fourth time was presented the Stallion of the Year
Equine Specialist accountancy firm and current employer of Rick and Christie’s son Harry Woodard. Stable Financial www.stablefinancial.com.au  sponsored the First Season Sire, secured by the exciting Written Tycoon.

Also in our local area is Yungaburra, the home of Contract Racing P/L horses and recipients of both the Super VOBIS Breeder of the Year, and the Super VOBIS nominator Award. The Contract Group has a fabulous band of broodmares which will no doubt continue to reward the owners more thrills in future racing ventures.

Robbie Griffiths, www.griffithsracing.com.au a trainer very close to our heart and tremendous supporter of Yallambee Stud was announced Super VOBIS leading trainer. Robbie is a very deserving winner of this award, irrefutably one of the most genuine and nicest blokes out there.

The Leading Small Breeders Award is always a highlight, this year recognising two very deserving recipients in a tie: John Pittard (Yosei) and Tarcoola Stud (Sacred Choice)

Well done to all other award winners.
