A NEW LOOK!

Facelifts are definitely the go in 2011.

Barn D hasn’t moved at Oaklands Junction - as such - and neither has Yallambee Stud.
But don’t wander down and expect it to be business as usual!

Yallambee Stud will be busier than ever this year with a ripping draft comprising 36 yearlings.
Which is all very timely given that Inglis has performed a ‘front yard blitz’ for us …

The bank in front of Barn D has been cut out all the way to the back parade ring. Groundsman and triathlon superstar Colin (Col) Brown has constructed a magnificent stone retaining wall, complemented by certified Sir Walter turf. This has enabled us to push our marquee much further back than it had previously been positioned.

The most exciting news is we now have enough room for a double runway which should relieve the congestion of horses trying to parade during the busy periods. We are very much looking forward to seeing if it works as well in practice as it does in theory.

Certainly the changes are most welcome and we anticipate that it will add to the atmosphere: much more room to shop!
We look forward to seeing you all at our upgraded abode.

Inspection dates and times: Yearlings will be available for inspection from 9am Tuesday 22nd February, and from 8:30 every morning until the completion of the sale.As usual, Hilton will be there with hot coffee and scones from the marquee, and our crew will be ready for your draft inspection. We’ve got a lot to show you … both inside the boxes and out!
